Massapequa Park Bicycle Club Spreads Holiday Cheer with Bicycle Donation
Giving back to our community is a core part of the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club’s mission and identity. This week, our club proudly donated three brand-new bicycles — complete with helmets and bells — to three 9-year-old boys at the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club. These children are facing real challenges in their lives, and we were grateful for the opportunity to bring them joy, confidence, and the simple freedom that comes with riding a bike.
The smiles on their faces made the moment unforgettable, especially during this meaningful holiday season.
This effort was made possible through the generosity and partnership of Jens Cycles (formerly The Bicycle Planet), who provided the bicycles to us at cost. We would also like to recognize Ellen Furuya, Paul Casamassina, Cathy Casamassina, Rob Quan, Ed Major, and Ivan Prafder, who were instrumental in making this initiative happen on behalf of the club.
Our club remains committed to supporting local organizations and positively impacting our community throughout the year. Moments like these remind us of what cycling is all about — connection, compassion, and lifting others up.

Tour of the Hamptons (TOH)

Experience our premier annual event—the Tour of the Hamptons (TOH)—held every late September. This iconic ride offers cyclists a choice of supported routes:
- 25, 50, 75, and 100+ miles through the stunning scenery of Long Island’s East End.

Ride past picturesque beaches, charming villages, and serene backroads. It’s a ride we’re incredibly proud to host and a can’t-miss event for cyclists of all levels!
Members-Only Events
As a member of the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club, you’ll have exclusive access to these incredible rides:
- The Ride of the Ancient Mariner: TBD 2026. Take on a legendary long-distance adventure with multiple route options, Full Century (108 miles), Extended Century (118 miles — all the way to the Montauk Lighthouse!), Metric Mariner (62 miles), and the Sub Mariner (30 miles).
- The North Fork Classic: Our east-end fall ride that weaves through Long Island’s North Fork. This scenic ride winds past lush vineyards, charming farms, scenic inlets, and peaceful beaches, making it a memorable way to end the season.

We offer a variety of midweek and weekend rides, catering to all levels of experience and ambition. From local rides exploring the scenic beauty of Long Island to exciting off-island remote excursions, MPBC rides provide something for everyone.
Our group rides are designed to accommodate all cyclists, from intense, high-energy, fast-paced riders to those who prefer a more casual and beginner-friendly experience. No matter your skill level or goals, you’ll find a welcoming group to ride with.

Club Meetings
Our membership meetings are usually held on the first Monday of every month, unless it is a Federal Holiday.
Meetings are held at the Massapequa Park Village Hall,
151 Front Street – Basement Level,
Massapequa Park (Just North of Sunrise Highway).
