New Ride Calendar

MPBC Ride Leaders post official club rides to this calendar on a weekly basis throughout the year.  To sign up for a ride, please provide the leader your mobile number and emergency contact using the email and/or phone number listed in the posting. Riders must be MPBC club members to attend a posted or a Show & Go ride but we are allowing one free ride for potential members. If you would like to join MBPC you can do so by using our online form found here.

Typical rides are held (Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun & Holidays) at 8:30 am in the warmer months and 9 am in the cooler months. Ride times do vary, so please check our ride calendar for actual start times.

Parking the Thruway Authority maintenance facility. Parking is free and there are restrooms.
3 rest stops
1. Cove Deli (mile 19)
2. Top of Bear Mtn (mile 31)
3. Mountain View Deli (mile 52)

We’ll start at the base of the Bridge, then cruise the bike path through Nyack and Haverstraw. We’ll skim 9W stop at Cove Deli, and climb up Buckberg Mountain. From there we hit the scenic Jones Point Rail Trail before the climb up Bear Mountain.

After a summit breather, we’ll descend and take pretty back roads and go a bit deeper hitting Gate Hill. Final snack/cake/coffee stop at the mile 52 deli.

Logistics –
Signing up for this ride means you have downloaded the route (mandatory). If you go off course, the group would not be able to find you.
Let’s keep the group together on 9w at a slower pace. Plenty of climbs to keep all busy and tired during the route.
Single file through Nyack.
