New Ride Calendar

MPBC Ride Leaders post official club rides to this calendar on a weekly basis throughout the year.  To sign up for a ride, please provide the leader your mobile number and emergency contact using the email and/or phone number listed in the posting. Riders must be MPBC club members to attend a posted or a Show & Go ride but we are allowing one free ride for potential members. If you would like to join MBPC you can do so by using our online form found here.

Typical rides are held (Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun & Holidays) at 8:30 am in the warmer months and 9 am in the cooler months. Ride times do vary, so please check our ride calendar for actual start times.

Massapequa Park Bicycle Club was founded on May 2nd, 1974. On Saturday May 4th, MPBC honors the club’s 50th Anniversary with a members-only commemorative ride and event starting from Haypath Park in Old Bethpage.

The festivities begin at 8:30 AM with three group rides that are open to all ride classifications –

• A 50-mile route to East Island led by Paul Santoro
• A 35-mile (50K) route to Kings Park led by Fred Itkin
• A special 50K route for owners of vintage/classic bicycles to Oyster Bay led by Gene Colon
• The rain date will be Sunday May 5th.

There will be bananas and snacks available before the ride and a light lunch in Haypath Park after the ride. The club will also have fit kits on hand for the new MPBC 50th anniversary kits for those who want to confirm their sizes before ordering theirs.

Please RSVP at https://airtable.com/appuWnqnOr6JpKFwb/pagFtDoSTPlieC2Jy/form

Arrive at Haypath Park before 8:30 (entrance on the south side of Haypath road a couple of blocks west of Old Bethpage road or Round Swamp road).

Let’s aim to leave at 8:30 sharp and return around noon. We will generally cruise in the low 20s (20 to 23 mph) on the flat roads and regroup periodically.
We will likely stop at East Island for a Bathroom break and then again at the shopping center in Glen cove to purchase drinks and light snacks if needed.

Please text me (516 225 4044) your Emergency contact for the MPBC ride sheet. Check out and load the route Link.

To celebrate MPBC’s 50th birthday there will be bananas and snacks available before the ride and a light lunch in Haypath Park after the ride. The club will also have fit kits on hand for the new MPBC 50th anniversary kits for those who want to confirm their sizes before ordering theirs.

Please RSVP at https://airtable.com/appuWnqnOr6JpKFwb/pagFtDoSTPlieC2Jy/form
if you plan to join the festivities.
